From The Frontline

Richard has posted one of his articles from MCV over at his blog and I whole-heartedly believe it is something that deserves the widest possible audience. It is titled Spread The Word, Not The Virus, and it is an interview with Paul Kidd, editor of Positive Living, about Rug Up For Winter, a new grassroots campaign to combat STIs and HIV.

Why? Well a picture paints a thousand words.


I know there was a lot of demonising that went on in the late 80s. For better or worse, it did the job. I remember when I first came out; the spectre of the grim reaper still stood over us, and that was the tail end of the generation of loss.

Gay men now are so ambivalent towards safe sex, or worse, fetishise it, and it seems obvious that the lessons we learnt in the past need to be learnt all over again.

Get the word out.
